Schedule and Work Details
- Location: On-site in a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility
- Schedule: Full-time, day shift
- Telework: Little to no telework available
- Clearance: Active Top Secret Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph required
Here’s What Your Day-to-Day Might Include
- Designing and maintaining a highly available platform that orchestrates microservices for a modern operational system
- Developing Infrastructure as Code and automation to provision services and eliminate manual tasks
- Patching, hardening, and maintaining compliance of Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems
- Installing, configuring, and tuning platforms such as Kubernetes, Docker Compose, NiFi, and cloud-native logging and metrics tools
- Managing CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment workflows using GitLab runners and Argo CD
- Operating and maintaining workloads in commercial cloud environments, primarily AWS
- Troubleshooting infrastructure issues and driving improvements to system reliability and uptime
- Collaborating closely with software engineers, stakeholders, and mission partners to deliver stable, secure solutions
Minimum Qualifications
- Clearance: Active Top Secret Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (required). We do not have the ability to sponsor clearances
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen. We cannot sponsor visas
Education And Experience
- Multiple experience levels considered, based on overall background and technical depth
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
- Experience supporting DevOps, infrastructure, or platform engineering efforts in Linux-based environments
Required Skills
- Experience developing Infrastructure as Code and automation using tools such as Python, Ansible, or Terraform
- Strong Linux administration skills, including patching, hardening, and compliance maintenance
- Hands-on experience with container and orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker Compose
- Experience managing CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows
- Familiarity operating systems and services in AWS
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams
Desired Skills
- Experience designing and maintaining AWS infrastructure including EC2, Lambda, S3, SNS, SQS, EventBridge, Athena, and Step Functions
- Understanding of AWS networking concepts including VPCs, NAT gateways, and routing
- Experience building and managing GitLab CI/CD pipelines
- Kubernetes experience with EKS, ECS, and or Fargate
- Experience troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues and improving system availability
Technology Stack
This environment leverages a modern DevOps toolchain including Linux and RHEL, Python, Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker Compose, Apache NiFi, GitLab CI, Argo CD, AWS cloud services, and cloud-native logging and monitoring solutions to support scalable, secure microservices platforms.
Compensation Range: $145,000.00 - $214,000.00
- The salary range provided reflects an estimate based on current market trends and may be adjusted based on factors such as the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. The final offer will be tailored after a thorough evaluation of the candidate’s background and suitability for the role.
