Job description
Role Overview
We’re hiring Data Engineers for a Fortune 100 retail client’s Enterprise Data Warehouse Team . This team supports all 12 business units by delivering high-quality, scalable data solutions. You’ll work on legacy redesigns and new projects using cutting-edge technology, including Google Cloud (BigQuery, GCS).
Core Responsibilities
- Build and optimize data pipelines and solutions for multiple business units.
- Collaborate with project managers, product managers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and validate solutions.
- Ensure data processes are robust and scalable for long-term performance.
- Work independently and drive projects forward.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to explain the impact and outcomes of your work.
- Technical expertise in: SQL (expert level)
- ETL/BI development
- Jenkins (2+ years preferred)
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP), BigQuery, GCS
- Python
- Dataform and/or DBT
- Strong systemic thinking (understand trade-offs in design decisions).
