We are seeking an experienced WebOps professional to join our team in a hybrid work arrangement, combining remote and on-site work in Montreal, QC, Canada. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our web infrastructure, focusing on Apache and Tomcat technologies. This is a contract opportunity for a highly skilled individual to leverage their expertise in web operations and contribute to our technology-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain Apache and Tomcat servers, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
- Troubleshoot complex web infrastructure issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve problems efficiently.
- Implement and maintain automation scripts to streamline WebOps processes and improve efficiency.
- Configure and manage related technologies such as WebLogic, FTP, PGP Encryption, Proxy Server, and Load Balancer.
- Work with Linux operating systems, ensuring optimal performance and security of our web infrastructure.
- Collaborate on the development and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in WebOps or a related field, with a strong focus on Apache and Tomcat.
- In-depth knowledge of web server technologies, including configuration and management of Apache and Tomcat.
- Proficiency in Linux operating systems and command-line interfaces.
- Experience with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, and VPN.
- Experience with WebLogic, FTP, PGP Encryption, Proxy Server, and Load Balancer technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
