The Director of Product & Innovation Marketing is responsible for maintaining leadership in lab innovation by anticipating market trends, shaping product portfolio strategy, and ensuring the brand represents breakthrough innovation and differentiated value. This role focuses on elevating the commercial impact of current products and managing the development and launch of new innovations from discovery to lifecycle optimization. The director partners closely with R&D, Product, Supply Chain, Marketing, Sales, and Executive leadership to bring impactful products to market.
Responsibilities:
• Understand customer needs and pain points to position solutions effectively
• Develop sharp messaging, strong value propositions, and compelling campaigns
• Identify market gaps, track trends, unmet needs, and competitors to generate new product ideas
• Build and manage the product pipeline from concept to launch with Product and R&D
• Ensure products drive measurable revenue through sales pipeline or customer attach rate improvements
• Increase pipeline and revenue via innovation, launches, and portfolio storytelling
• Align Product, R&D, Marketing, and Commercial teams for synchronized execution
• Manage a consistent NPI process with cross-functional alignment and market feedback loops
• Lead and grow a team with ambitious revenue targets
• Promote a culture of curiosity, experimentation, and impact focus
Requirements:
• 10 to 12+ years in product marketing, brand marketing, product strategy, or innovation in high-growth environments
• Strong storytelling and communication skills to simplify complexity and influence all levels
• Ability to lead in ambiguity, create structure, and drive cross-team alignment
• Proven track record commercializing innovative products and delivering business outcomes
• Experience leading and scaling product marketing teams to achieve measurable impact
• Skilled in managing multi-product portfolios and handling complexity
• Strong cross-functional collaboration with Sales and Product, focused on adoption and commercial results
• Comfortable in fast-growth, founder-led, high-ambiguity environments
• Action-oriented, test-and-learn mindset, high standards, low ego, and willingness to engage hands-on
