Role Overview: The Manager of Communication and Outreach will serve as the "voice" of Alpha Palliative Care. The primary goal is to raise awareness of palliative services, manage the organization’s public image, and build strong relationships with community stakeholders, donors, and the media.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Communication: Develop and execute a communication strategy that highlights the impact of Alpha Palliative Care.
- Content Creation: Manage the organization’s website, social media, and newsletters; write press releases and human-interest stories.
- Community Engagement: Organize outreach programs, awareness camps, and volunteer recruitment drives in the Ernakulam/Thrissur region.
- Stakeholder Relations: Build partnerships with hospitals, NGOs, and local government bodies to expand the service network.
- Public Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for media inquiries and public events.
Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s in Journalism, MSW, or MBA (Marketing/Communications).
- Experience: Experience in public relations, community organizing, or non-profit marketing.
- Skills: Exceptional storytelling and public speaking skills, proficiency in digital media, and fluency in Malayalam and English.
