Position Summary
The Digital Marketing Strategist develops and oversees comprehensive online marketing plans designed to increase brand awareness, drive sales, and maximize ROI. Using data-driven insights, this role guides the organization’s entire digital presence, from high-level strategy to actionable campaign execution, across global channels including SEO, email, paid advertising, and emerging platforms.
This strategist identifies opportunities, analyzes competitors, maps customer journeys, and collaborates with internal teams to ensure campaigns are aligned with business goals. The role also acts as a key link between strategic objectives and digital execution, ensuring that tactics consistently support marketing, sales, and corporate outcomes.
A critical responsibility of this position is managing and improving the company’s digital reputation by monitoring sentiment and executing strategies that counter negative commentary. The strategist will also leverage large language models (LLMs) and AI technologies to automate content creation, enhance personalization, support trend research, streamline workflows, and scale output while maintaining brand consistency.
The ideal candidate can operate with minimal guidance, integrating analytics, creative execution, and technology-driven insights to support Walton’s global marketing initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Leadership
Develop comprehensive digital marketing strategies aligned with business goals, audience needs, and market conditions.
Guide the full digital marketing ecosystem – from strategic planning to campaign execution – across SEO, SEM, email, content, and digital advertising.
Conduct audits of current digital assets, user behavior, competitor activity, and industry trends to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities.
Define measurable objectives and KPIs for brand awareness, lead generation, sales growth, and reputation enhancement.
Reputation & Sentiment Management
Monitor online sentiment and proactively address negative commentary through coordinated content, messaging strategies, and engagement protocols.
Develop global reputation-management frameworks that protect brand integrity and support consistent positioning across regions.
AI-Driven Content & Workflow Optimization
Use LLMs and AI tools to automate content creation for blogs, social media, digital ads, and email campaigns while ensuring accuracy and brand alignment.
Apply AI to personalize customer experiences, analyze market sentiment, uncover trends, and streamline team workflows.
Support ideation and campaign planning using data-driven AI insights.
Campaign Oversight & Execution
Lead integrated marketing campaigns across SEO, SEM, email marketing, and paid digital channels.
Oversee implementation by content creators, designers, external partners, and cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive execution.
Act as a trusted advisor, gathering input from stakeholders and aligning digital plans with organizational objectives.
Data Analysis & Reporting
Translate analytics into actionable insights using tools such as Google Analytics, Semrush, and PowerBI.
Develop weekly and monthly reports assessing campaign impact, channel performance, sentiment trends, and ROI.
Use insights to refine strategies, improve customer journeys, and influence decision-making across departments.
Collaboration & Governance
Work closely with Marketing, Sales, Operations, and international teams to maintain a unified global brand presence.
Support the development of content calendars, messaging frameworks, and workflow guidelines to ensure consistency.
Maintain internal Marketing resources and adhere to established brand standards.
Continuous Improvement
Track campaign performance, iterate based on data and feedback, and identify new digital opportunities to increase engagement and conversions.
Remain current with digital marketing trends, tools, technologies, and best practices.
Other Duties
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or related field.
3+ years of digital marketing experience with proven success in strategy development, SEO/SEM, content execution, and multi-channel campaign management.
Background in Real Estate, Finance, Investment, or similarly technical fields is preferred.
Strong understanding of SEO, SEM, content marketing, social media management, and online customer journeys.
Proficiency with analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Semrush, and social media insights platforms.
Experience with LLMs and AI-driven tools for automating content, analyzing sentiment, and optimizing workflows.
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to interpret data and translate insights into strategic recommendations.
Strong organizational and project management abilities; able to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Familiarity with web design principles and HTML is helpful.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint; PowerBI is a plus.
