Scrum Master (Marketing Cloud) – Salesforce Federal Delivery
Location:
Remote/Hybrid (US-based, DC Metro Area). In-person expectations include visits with customers, Salesforce offices, and to Thunder offices in Tysons Corner, VA.

Role Summary
We are seeking a proactive Scrum Master to serve as the cornerstone of our federal practice, specifically supporting our Marketing Cloud delivery team. The ideal candidate thrives on the challenge of facilitating Agile sprints, removing blockers, and driving delivery momentum within complex federal environments. You will have the autonomy to guide the team's process while they build sophisticated structures and data flows for targeted outreach.
In this role, you won’t just be following a checklist; you’ll be steering the velocity and efficiency of our solutions. You will be part of a team pioneering how Salesforce and Amazon cloud environments are delivered for federal agencies, ensuring our impact is felt across the entire brand.
Responsibilities
- Agile Facilitation: Lead and implement Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) specifically for teams designing high-complexity Marketing Cloud data flows.
- Delivery Momentum: Manage and oversee the end-to-end delivery lifecycle, proactively removing blockers to ensure outreach campaigns and data structures remain on track.
- ATO Support: Drive the team toward Authority to Operate (ATO) milestones by ensuring all security-related user stories are prioritized and completed for audit readiness.
- Backlog Management: Coordinate with Product Owners and federal stakeholders to refine the backlog, aligning technical marketing tasks with business objectives.
- Team Coaching: Provide Agile guidance and best practices to development and consulting teams throughout the project lifecycle to improve velocity.
- Process Governance: Maintain and apply expert knowledge of Agile methodologies to ensure the team operates within federal compliance frameworks.
Qualifications
- US Citizenship Required, with ability and willingness to obtain security clearance(s).
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 5-7+ years of experience facilitating Agile sprints and driving delivery momentum, specifically within cloud-based or federal compliance environments.
- Significant experience with the Salesforce suite, specifically facilitating projects involving Marketing Cloud data structures and targeted outreach.
- Deep familiarity with the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) and how it integrates with Agile delivery cycles.
- Proven leadership skills and experience in managing velocity for large, complex federal projects.
- Strong strategic thinking and ability to align technical team output with federal mission objectives.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Certifications: Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent; Salesforce certifications (Preferred).
