Our client is seeking a
Carrier Partner Manager
to join their growing insurtech team. This role is central to building and maintaining strong relationships with carrier partners, ensuring seamless onboarding of admitted products, and aligning underwriting guidelines with market needs. The Carrier Partner Manager will collaborate closely with technology teams, internal stakeholders, agents, and carriers to deliver a fully bindable quoting experience that supports scalable growth.
This position requires a mix of relationship management, market analysis, workflow design, and strategic execution. The ideal candidate will be adept at cultivating carrier partnerships, driving product expansion, and serving as the primary liaison between carriers and internal teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Carrier Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for admitted carrier partners.
- Build and maintain strong trading relationships to support long‑term collaboration.
- Align carrier underwriting guidelines with platform workflows and agent needs.
- Negotiate and manage carrier agreements to ensure compliance and competitiveness.
Product & Market Collaboration
- Partner with carriers to onboard admitted GL, BOP, and Workers’ Compensation products.
- Analyze market trends, agent feedback, and competitive offerings to inform carrier strategy.
- Identify and prioritize niche markets for carrier expansion within the admitted space.
Workflow & Experience Design
- Collaborate with engineering and UX teams to integrate carrier products into a fully bindable quoting workflow.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and carrier‑specific requirements.
- Provide feedback to carriers on workflow efficiency and agent experience.
Leadership & Communication
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership on carrier performance, market expansion, and partnership opportunities.
- Develop training materials for agents and internal teams to support carrier product adoption.
- Establish KPIs and success metrics to measure carrier engagement and product performance.
Strategic Growth
- Cultivate partnerships with insurers, brokers, and third‑party specialists to expand admitted offerings.
- Drive innovation by collaborating with carriers to introduce unique features and differentiated products.
- Support product managers and cross‑functional teams in aligning carrier strategies with overall business goals.
WORK EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
- Experience in the admitted P&C digital distribution space, ideally working with carriers, MGAs, or technology platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in Business Administration, Insurance, or a related discipline (commensurate work experience considered).
- 5+ years of experience in carrier relationship management, underwriting collaboration, or insurance product distribution.
