Technical Account Manager

QC Ware is hiring a Technical Account Manager to strengthen and expand relationships with our existing customers while serving as a trusted, hands-on technical partner. This role sits at the intersection of customer success, technical support, and commercial growth—you’ll ensure customers using the Promethium platform realize measurable value and have an outstanding end-to-end experience.

You’ll be the primary technical and commercial point of contact for your accounts, partnering closely with internal teams to drive adoption, resolve issues, and unlock expansion opportunities. You’ll also support select new sales opportunities where deep technical credibility and strong customer relationships are essential.

This role reports to the VP of Sales & Partnerships and works closely with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success. The position is U.S.-based with occasional travel for customer onsite visits and industry conferences.

Role

Customer Relationship Management

• Act as the primary owner of existing customer relationships
• Build trusted, long-term partnerships with scientific, technical, and business stakeholders
• Understand customer goals and workflows and align them with Promethium’s capabilities
• Conduct regular check-ins, business reviews, and success planning

Technical Support & Enablement

• Serve as first-line technical support for customers using the Promethium platform
• Help customers troubleshoot issues and work closely with internal teams to resolve them
• Provide onboarding, training, and ongoing technical guidance
• Translate complex computational chemistry concepts into clear, actionable guidance for customers

Commercial Growth & Sales Support

• Identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts
• Support and manage select new sales opportunities, particularly those requiring deep technical engagement
• Collaborate with sales leadership on pricing, renewals, and contract discussions
• Maintain accurate account records and activity in Salesforce

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Act as the voice of the customer internally, providing feedback to Product and Engineering
• Work closely with Sales, Product, and Customer Success to ensure a seamless customer experience

Minimum Qualifications

• PhD in Computational Chemistry (required)
• Strong hands-on experience with computational chemistry tools and workflows
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to provide technical support and explain complex concepts clearly

Willingness to engage in both customer success and sales-related activities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in sales, account management, customer success, or technical sales
• Experience with enterprise SaaS products
• Industry background in pharma, biotech, chemicals, or materials science
• Experience in a startup or fast-growing company environment

Compensation

Base Salary

$75,000 - $95,000 + 20 - 25% variable (annual incentive/bonus) ‍

In addition to competitive base salaries, qualified candidates are eligible for participation in a corporate bonus program and equity.

Salary may vary by location. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, competencies, experience, market demands, internal parity, and relevant education or training.
