Job Title: Sales and Key Account Manager - Government & Trade Services (GTS)

Position Overview
The Sales and Key Account Manager - GTS will lead Business Development and Sales initiatives to expand Intertek’s presence across Conformity Assessment and Market Access programs. The role focuses on acquiring new clients, strengthening strategic accounts, and supporting growth initiatives through strong market engagement, relationship management, and commercial excellence.
Core Focus: Business Development & Sales
- Business Development
- Identify, target, and acquire new business across conformity assessment, regulatory compliance, and international trade programs.
- Develop and implement structured sales strategies to deliver revenue and margin objectives.
- Maintain a strong, healthy sales pipeline through continuous prospecting, networking, and industry engagement.
- Develop compelling proposals, commercial offers, and presentations tailored to client needs.
- Lead commercial discussions, negotiations, and closures with exporters, manufacturers, trade bodies, and government clients.
- Support development and launch of new services aligned with market demands and growth potential.
- Drive revenue acceleration in South Asia and strategic export and regulatory markets.
- Key Account Management
- Manage and nurture key accounts to ensure retention, repeat business, and long-term value creation.
- Serve as the single point of contact for all commercial and client relationship matters.
- Strengthen relationships with key decision-makers and industry influencers.
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling across the GTS service portfolio.
- Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews with major clients to drive performance insights and future growth discussions.
- Ensure prompt handling of client queries, escalations, and service coordination.
- Market Intelligence & Strategic Inputs
- Stay informed on global trade regulations, conformity assessment program updates, and industry developments.
- New service developments
- Conduct comprehensive market and competitor analysis to identify potential growth sectors.
- Provide insights and recommendations to support sales strategies and business decisions.
- Contribute to marketing campaigns, webinars, workshops, and client-engagement activities.
- Reporting & Internal Coordination
- Maintain accurate CRM records, ensuring reliable tracking of leads, opportunities, proposals, and forecasts.
- Prepare and share periodic sales and account updates with leadership.
- Work closely with internal teams (BD, Technical, Operations, Cross Business Lines, Finance, and Global Offices) to ensure smooth client servicing and communication.
- Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, International Trade, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 6–8 years of experience in Business Development, B2B Sales, and Key Account Management, ideally in TIC or international trade/regulatory sectors.
- Proven success in achieving sales targets and driving new business acquisition.
- Strong understanding of Conformity Assessment Programs, New business development, and global trade requirements.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in MS Office, AI Tools, and CRM tools.
- Willingness to travel for client visits, industry events, and government meetings.
