IT Staffing Account Manager
Overview
We are seeking an experienced
IT Staffing Account Manager
to manage, qualify, and expand a portfolio of mid-size to large client accounts. This role is well-suited for a consultative staffing professional who excels at owning client relationships, translating technical requirements into actionable hiring strategies, and growing revenue within established accounts.
This position comes with an existing book of business and immediate opportunities to expand account penetration, increase job flow, and build long-term partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow an assigned book of IT staffing accounts, serving as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders
- Partner closely with clients to qualify and scope technical requirements, hiring timelines, and workforce strategies
- Translate client needs into clear, well-defined requisitions for recruiting teams
- Drive account expansion by identifying new hiring needs, departments, and service offerings within existing clients
- Maintain strong relationships with hiring managers, HR leaders, and procurement teams
- Provide consultative guidance on market conditions, candidate availability, and hiring best practices
- Ensure high-quality service delivery, client satisfaction, and retention
- Collaborate with internal recruiting and delivery teams to ensure successful placements and ongoing account success
- Experience in VMS and non-VMS accounts.
- Experience and ability to identify and land project and SOW opportunities with clients.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in staffing, with a strong focus on IT or technical staffing
- Proven experience managing and growing mid-size to large client accounts
- Strong ability to qualify client requirements, including technical skills, team dynamics, and business drivers
- Demonstrated success expanding existing accounts and increasing job order volume
- Excellent communication, relationship management, and consultative selling skills
- Ability to balance account management with proactive growth initiatives
- Experience working in a fast-paced, metrics-driven staffing environment
