First Fence is a market-leading fencing and gate supplier based in the UK — now expanding into the United States. With eight successful UK locations and a high-performing e-commerce platform, we’re launching our first U.S. operations in Texas.
We’re looking for a motivated Inside Sales Representative to drive new business growth, build customer relationships, and help lead our expansion into the U.S. market.
Position Summary:
The Inside Sales Representative (ISR) has the vital responsibility of serving customers on a day-to-day basis in person, over the phone as well as by email and text.
The ISR uses sales, customer service, and administrative skills to create value for the customer and the company.
Responsibilities:
- Interact with customers over the phone and in person as well as electronically such as email or text
- Conduct discovery conversations with existing customers and prospective customers to identify products and services that we can provide
- As part of a sales team, work to grow sales and achieve branch/company sales and profitability goals
- Use the company’s computer system to process quotes needed by customers
- Process orders from customers and arrange for pick up or delivery
- Support Outside Sales Associate’s in responding to customers’ needs
- Learn and maintain proficient product knowledge
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment that meets company standards
- Ensure that proper SOPs and Company policies are followed
- Special projects, as assigned by manager
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless sales process
- Expedite resolutions and make timely decisions when customer service issues arise
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of quotes, orders and other sales activities
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the company's products and services
- Utilize CRM software such as Salesforce to track leads, manage customer interactions, and analyze sales data for continuous improvement.
- Maintain positive relationships with customers to build long standing customer retention.
Skills
- Proven experience in outside sales, business development, or account management within a B2B environment.
- Strong understanding of industrial product sales.
- Expertise in territory management, lead generation, cold calling, and direct sales techniques.
- Proficiency with CRM software such as Salesforce or similar platforms for managing customer relationships and analyzing data.
- Excellent negotiation skills combined with a customer-focused approach to service delivery.
- Ability to highlight features and benefits tailored to client needs.
- Effective communication skills for building rapport with clients at all levels of an organization.
- Analytical mindset capable of interpreting market data and sales metrics for strategic planning.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience in retail or inside sales is advantageous but not required; adaptability across various sales environments is valued.
- Be able to influence outcomes positively and close sales.
- Ability to multitask and be proactive to support needs of the company and customers.

Pay: $46,800.00 - $60,000.00 per year
