JOB TITLE:
Senior Operations Manager I
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the general direction of a Director, Client Services, the Senior Operations Manager is responsible for the overall administration of multiple programs or project as required by the client contracts. The Senior Program Manager is responsible for the oversight of all team members providing the full range of services for specific manufacturer program. This position will participate in other related project and perform other functions as may be required from time to time.
This is an introductory role, and the incumbent will be reassessed within 6 (six) months.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage existing teams for operations related manufacturer programs.
- Responsible for the management of the client program managers.
- Participate in strategic and tactical planning sessions.
- Ensures team is meeting contractual obligations.
- Coaches, counsels and sets goals for managers to help develop them for career progression.
- Conducts performance reviews and rewards positive behavior.
- Provides day-to-day instructions to team members on job responsibilities.
- Helps associates resolve associate work-related issues.
- Supports new associates in their efforts for growth and development.
- Develops, designs and conducts Train the Trainer Program.
- Provides feedback up and down the organization (Positive and Constructive).
- Participates in client meetings; prepares agenda and / or takes meeting notes.
- Provides input into incentive plan performance metrics.
- Ensures open communication with program support.
- Translates and oversees organizational strategies for assigned goals.
- Identifies client issues; receives and triages client requests.
- Proactively identifies program issues and proposes ways in which to address their concerns.
- Maintains positive rapport with client.
- Understands billing process and contractual obligations.
- Participates in budget planning.
- Accountable for program quality and compliance with standard operating procedures.
- Designs project task plan and standard operating procedures.
- Analyzes reports for trends and gives recommendations
- Analyzes progress of tactical issues.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance, including being present, on time, and prepared for work as scheduled.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous 5+ years of experience in a physician’s office, healthcare setting, and/or related experience.
- General knowledge of reimbursement, patient assistance programs, database elements and functionality: operational policies and processes.
- Previous management experience is required.
MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS"
- Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to resolve associate issues effectively and efficiently.
- General knowledge of reimbursement, patient assistance programs, database elements and functionality; operational policies and processes particularly distribution processes / interfaces.
- Proven ability to appropriately escalate issue to senior management.
- Health care research and analysis skills sufficient to support payer research, healthcare policy library and state management.
- Strategic thinker with long term planning experience.
- Critical thinking skills, creative and innovative solutions to internal or external client needs.
