To serve and safeguard the people, animals, and community of Pasadena Humane with timely relevant information, secure up-to-date infrastructure, optimized processes, and efficient use of resources.
JOB SUMMARY
Support the IT Department in providing day-to-day technology assistance to staff at Pasadena Humane. Help troubleshoot basic computer, software, and equipment issues to support daily operations.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide Tier 1 technical support for computers, software, programs, phones, and peripherals, and escalate more complex problems as needed.
Assist with setting up, deploying, and maintaining workstations, laptops, and other equipment.
Provide in-person and remote support to staff for basic technical and account-related issues.
Install and test approved software and hardware.
Assist with maintaining inventory of computers, peripherals, and related equipment.
Provide basic management and support for printers and other shared office equipment.
Support meetings and onsite events with basic technical setup (as needed).
Assist staff with basic computer questions and usage guidance.
Perform routine maintenance tasks as assigned.
Work under the direction of the IT leadership team on assigned tasks and projects.

Perform other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Associate’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
One year experience in desktop support, help desk support, or a related technical support role. Relevant internships or coursework may be considered as an alternative to experience.
CompTIA A+ certification preferred but not required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other common workplace software.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff across departments.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated professionalism, sound judgment, and ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
Must interact positively with supervisor, management, coworkers, volunteers, and the public to promote a team effort and maintain a positive and professional approach.
Must come to work regularly and on time, follow directions, take criticism, get along with coworkers and supervisors, treat coworkers, supervisory staff, members and guests with respect, courtesy, and refrain from abusive, insubordinate and/or violent behavior.
WORK SCHEDULE
Must come to work regularly and on time. Must be available for early hours. Must be able to work early hours according to the needs of the department schedule, including weekends and holidays. WORKING CONDITIONS
Fast-paced environment. Employees are exposed to numerous animals (live and deceased), including those with uncertain dispositions. They are required to act in a safe and responsible manner.
