Technical Support Specialist (OTT Platform) We need someone who knows their way around streaming tech and can explain it to a frustrated user without sounding like a manual. You’ll be the person fixing playback issues and making sure the app actually works on a dozen different devices.
The basics Experience: 2 to 3 years in tech support.
Pay: 30,000 to 40,000 per month.
Language: English must be your first language.
What you’ll actually do What this really means is you’re the go-to for everything from login errors to payment glitches. You’ll spend your time troubleshooting across iOS, Android, Roku, and Smart TVs. When a bigger bug shows up, you’ll document it and get it over to the engineering team so they can squash it. You might also help test new versions of the app to make sure they don’t break before we ship them.
What you need to bring You should understand why video buffers and what happens when an ISP throttles a connection. You need to be comfortable using tools like Zendesk or Jira. Most importantly, you need to be able to talk clearly and stay calm when things get busy.
The schedule Streaming doesn’t stop, so you’ll need to be okay with rotating shifts and some weekend work.
