Kidney Specialists of Southern Nevada (KSOSN) provides comprehensive kidney care and a full spectrum of kidney disease management resources for residents of Southern Nevada. Our care team educates and empowers patients who are living with kidney disease. We are looking for a dynamic Human Resources Manager to join our growing team.
Position Overview
The Human Resources Manager will serve as the sole HR professional for KSOSN, overseeing all human resources, payroll, benefits, and compliance functions. This role is ideal for a highly organized, hands-on HR leader who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and enjoys owning the full HR lifecycle.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
HR Leadership & Administration
- Serve as the primary link between management and employees by addressing concerns, interpreting policies, and resolving employee relations issues
- Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook
- Advise leadership on organizational policy matters including EEO, harassment prevention, corrective action, and performance management
- Handle complex and sensitive employee relations matters, including investigations, disciplinary actions, terminations, and dispute resolution
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including but not limited to:
- EEOC and EEO-1 reporting
- ACA compliance
- OSHA (including OSHA 300 logs)
- ADA interactive process and accommodations
- FMLA and leave management
- Unemployment claims and hearings (Nevada DETR)
- Manage Workers’ Compensation claims and insurance coordination
- Oversee employment-related insurance programs, including Workers’ Compensation and Directors & Officers (D&O) insurance
Payroll, Benefits & HRIS
- Prepare, process, and manage payroll accurately and timely
- Administer employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) plans
- Reconcile benefits invoices and manage wage garnishments
- Maintain and optimize HRIS systems (Paycom required)
- Maintain employee personnel files and records in accordance with regulatory requirements
Talent Management & Development
- Lead full-cycle recruitment: workforce planning, recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding
- Conduct new employee orientation and ensure smooth onboarding experiences
- Support employee development initiatives and training programs
- Analyze training needs and coordinate professional development efforts
Performance, Recognition & Culture
- Administer performance management processes and evaluations
- Support employee recognition initiatives
- Analyze HR metrics and statistical data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
Additional Responsibilities
- Conduct employment verifications and maintain accurate HR reporting
- Manage filing and documentation systems
- Perform other duties as assigned to support organizational needs
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
- Experience working as the sole HR professional required
- Minimum of five (5) years of HR experience in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Paycom experience required
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent communication, customer service, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to change and implement new policies and procedures effectively
- Fluency in English required; Spanish a plus
