Overview
We are seeking a
Technical Writer
with strong experience in the
IT and enterprise systems
domain to produce clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation. This role focuses on translating complex technical concepts into accessible content for a variety of audiences, including engineers, system administrators, business users, and non-technical stakeholders. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and collaborative, with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Create, edit, and maintain technical documentation for enterprise IT systems, applications, and processes.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise content tailored to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, developers, and business stakeholders to gather information and validate technical accuracy.
- Develop user guides, system documentation, process flows, knowledge base articles, and release notes.
- Ensure documentation aligns with organizational standards, style guides, and compliance requirements.
- Manage document versioning, reviews, and approvals.
- Maintain documentation repositories and content management systems.
- Identify documentation gaps and proactively recommend improvements.
- Support change management initiatives by updating documentation for new system releases and process updates.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a
Technical Writer
in an
IT or enterprise technology environment
.
- Ability to understand and document complex technical systems and workflows.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience working with subject matter experts to gather and validate technical content.
- Proficiency with documentation tools and content management platforms (e.g., Confluence, SharePoint, MadCap Flare, or similar).
- Ability to manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with software development or infrastructure environments.
- Experience documenting APIs, system integrations, or cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of Agile or DevOps environments.
- Experience creating visual documentation such as process diagrams or system flow charts.
