Position Title: Deputy Manager / Assistant Manager – Marketing
Experience: 5–8 Years
Qualification: Graduate / Engineer (MBA – Marketing preferred)
Location: Pune (Regional responsibility)
Role Summary
We are looking for a result-driven DM / AM – Marketing to handle and grow automotive business in the Pune region. The candidate should have strong exposure to automotive OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers, particularly in decorative plastic parts / injection-moulded plastic components, and possess deep understanding of OEM systems, processes, and sourcing requirements.
This role demands a go-getter attitude, strong customer relationships, and the ability to aggressively pursue new business and RFQs.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Account Management
• Develop and grow business with automotive OEMs and Tier-1 customers in the Pune region
• Handle existing accounts and aggressively pursue new customer development
• Identify upcoming projects, new platforms, facelifts, and sourcing opportunities
• Drive RFQ to SOP conversion with focus on profitability and volume growth
OEM / Tier-1 Coordination
• Work closely with customer teams including purchase, engineering, quality, and SCM
• Manage OEM and Tier-1 systems, portals, and documentation requirements
• Ensure compliance with customer standards, timelines, and commercial expectations
• Coordinate internal teams (engineering, costing, quality, operations) for timely responses
RFQ, Costing & Commercial Support
• Handle RFQs including feasibility, costing coordination, and commercial discussions
• Support price negotiations, cost breakdowns, and productivity discussions
• Track RFQ status, nominations, LOIs, and SOP timelines
Market Intelligence & Strategy
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer sourcing strategies
• Provide inputs for regional marketing strategy and business planning
• Support management with forecasts, opportunity pipelines, and growth plans
Reporting & Reviews
• Prepare and present MIS, opportunity pipeline, RFQ status, and sales forecasts
• Regular reviews with management on business progress and challenges
Required Skills & Competencies
• Strong experience in automotive OEM & Tier-1 marketing
• Hands-on knowledge of decorative plastic parts / injection-moulded plastic components
• Deep understanding of:
• OEM sourcing processes & portals
• APQP / PPAP / SOP requirements
• Commercial and technical RFQ processes
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• Go-getter mindset, aggressive in follow-ups and closures
• Ability to work independently with strong ownership of region
Preferred Profile
• Experience working with Pune-based OEMs / Tier-1s (2W / 3W / PV / CV)
• Exposure to interior / exterior plastic or decorative components
• Willing to travel locally and outside region as required
