Business Analyst – Core Banking & Data (ETL / Data Lineage)
Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong Core Banking domain knowledge and hands-on exposure to data, ETL, and data lineage. The role acts as a key bridge between business stakeholders, data architects, and technology teams to deliver high-quality, compliant, and business-aligned solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand objectives, requirements, and challenges.
- Elicit, analyse, and document business requirements, processes, and workflows.
- Translate business needs into clear functional specifications for technical teams.
- Act as a liaison between business and technology teams.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Present findings, recommendations, and project updates to diverse audiences.
Solution Design & Delivery
- Collaborate with technology teams to design solutions aligned with business needs and enterprise architecture.
- Propose innovative, practical, and scalable solutions.
- Ensure alignment with organizational strategy, technology standards, and governance policies.
- Validate delivered solutions against requirements and ensure high quality.
Data, ETL & Lineage
- Understand current ETL architecture and data integration processes.
- Document source-to-target mappings, transformation logic, and dependencies.
- Perform impact analysis across Core Banking, Risk, AML/KYC, and Regulatory Reporting systems.
- Identify and validate business rules with stakeholders.
- Validate data lineage and ensure compliance with data governance standards.
- Assess data quality, performance, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Documentation & Governance
- Prepare and maintain BRD, FSD, LDM, functional specs, migration strategy documents, and mapping sheets.
- Create process flows, use cases, and user stories.
- Maintain requirements traceability matrix (RTM) and link requirements to test cases.
- Ensure project documentation is accurate and up to date throughout the lifecycle.
- Define reporting and alerting requirements.
- Prepare training materials for business users.
Domain & Technical Skills
- Strong Core Banking functional knowledge across:
- Liability & Asset products
- Lending (LOS & LMS systems)
- Hands-on experience with databases:
- Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL
- Strong SQL skills for analysis and validation.
- Proficient in data modelling and database concepts:
- Tables, schemas, constraints, indexing, stored procedures, functions
- Experience with tools such as JIRA, Microsoft Visio, and similar BA tools.

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
