Job Title: Sr. Director of Hardware Engineering
Job Function: Product Development Engineering
**Job Overview:**The Sr. Director of Hardware Engineering is responsible for managing the U.S. and China-based hardware engineering team and customer-facing applications engineers to develop a complete and cost-effective engineering solution to meet customers’ performance and quality requirements. It is a hands-on project engineering role tasked with building, managing, and mentoring the team and with individual contributions to engineering solutions when required. HWM develops an efficient and timely process for assessing, implementing and supporting Unigen’s products, and engineering projects including outsourcing if necessary to meet Unigen’s customer needs. HWM works with product marketing and manufacturing engineering to assess the feasibility of new products and the timely and efficient delivery of finished products. This includes product specification, design approval, component selection, prototyping, modeling, analysis, and testing. Reports to President and CEO. Located at the Unigen Headquarters in Newark, CA.
