Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and self-driven Android Developer (Freelancer) with 2+ years of hands-on experience in building high-quality Android applications. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working independently, meeting deadlines, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and user-friendly mobile solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain advanced Android applications using Kotlin and/or Java
• Translate UI/UX designs and business requirements into high-quality, performant mobile applications
• Integrate RESTful APIs, third-party libraries, and backend services
• Ensure app performance, security, quality, and responsiveness across different devices and Android versions
• Debug and fix issues, optimize code, and improve application stability
• Participate in code reviews and follow best practices for clean, maintainable code
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and backend developers to deliver features on time
• Publish applications on Google Play Store and manage updates when required
• Stay updated with the latest Android development trends, tools, and technologies

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in Android app development
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java
• Solid understanding of Android SDK, Android Studio, Activities, Fragments, Services, and MVVM/MVP architecture
• Experience with REST APIs , JSON parsing, and third-party integrations
• Knowledge of Firebase (Authentication, Firestore/Realtime DB, Push Notifications, Analytics)
• Experience with Git / version control systems
• Familiarity with Material Design guidelines
• Understanding of performance optimization, memory management, and offline storage
• Ability to work independently as a freelancer and manage time effectively

Good to Have

• Experience with Jetpack components (Room, LiveData, ViewModel, Navigation)
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for mobile apps
• Experience with payment gateway integration
• Prior experience working on freelance or contract-based projects
