Responsibilities:
- Gather requirements from business stakeholders to design and deliver impactful reporting and dashboard solutions.
- Build and maintain scalable data models in Power BI, including calculated columns, measures, and DAX expressions.
- Create visually engaging, interactive dashboards that support business insights and data-driven decisions.
- Integrate and manage data from multiple sources, including SQL, Excel, SharePoint, APIs, and cloud environments.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance optimization across reports and dashboards.
- Implement governance policies, including row-level security (RLS) and access control.
- Document BI solutions and deliver training or user support as needed.
- Partner with data engineers and analysts to enhance data integration and automation pipelines.
- Identify and resolve data quality or refresh issues proactively.
- Stay current with Power BI updates, features, and best practices to continuously improve dashboard performance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience building and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Strong understanding of DAX, Power Query, and data modeling principles.
- Hands-on experience with ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
- Excellent analytical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with SAP Business Objects, Spotfire, or similar BI platforms.
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform or Azure SQL Database.
- Knowledge of Python or R for data transformation and automation.
- Understanding of UX principles and data visualization best practices.
Hourly rate is commensurate with experience and is an estimated range provided by WorkGenius.
