We are seeking a Plex Business Analyst to join our Operations Technology team at our corporate headquarters in Duncan, SC. The Plex Business Analyst is responsible for supporting, optimizing, and enhancing the organization’s use of the Plex Manufacturing Cloud (MES). This role serves as a key liaison between business stakeholders, manufacturing operations, and technical teams to ensure Plex is configured and utilized to meet operational, financial, and reporting requirements. The analyst will translate business needs into system solutions, drive process improvements, and support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing, supply chain, and finance. After gaining knowledge of our environment, there is the opportunity for this position to work under our Hybrid schedule working both in the office and remotely.There will be times that travel or periodic 100% onsite work may be required.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements
- Partner with manufacturing, supply chain, finance, and quality stakeholders to gather, document, and validate business requirements related to Plex.
- Analyze current-state processes and design future-state workflows leveraging standard Plex functionality where possible.
- Develop functional specifications, process maps, and business requirement documents.
Plex System Configuration & Support
- Configure and maintain Plex modules (e.g., Manufacturing, Inventory, Quality, Finance, Supply Chain) in alignment with business needs.
- Support system enhancements, upgrades, and new module implementations.
- Troubleshoot Plex issues, perform root-cause analysis, and coordinate resolution with internal IT and Plex support.
Data, Reporting & Analytics
- Design, build, and maintain Plex dashboards, KPIs, and operational/financial reports.
- Ensure data integrity across Plex transactions and reporting outputs.
- Support ad hoc analysis and data extraction to enable informed business decisions.
Process Improvement & Change Management
- Identify opportunities to streamline and standardize processes using Plex best practices.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, operational excellence).
- Assist with change management activities, including impact analysis and communication.
Testing, Training & Documentation
- Develop and execute test plans for Plex configurations, enhancements, and integrations.
- Create and maintain user documentation, SOPs, and training materials.
- Train end users and provide ongoing functional support.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as the primary functional point of contact between business users, IT, and external vendors.
- Support integrations between Plex and other enterprise systems (e.g., EDI, PLM, HRIS, BI tools).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, ERP Analyst, or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience with Plex Manufacturing Cloud (ERP/MES).
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, including production, inventory, quality, and costing.
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into system solutions.
- Experience with reporting, data analysis, and KPI development.
- Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Plex implementations or major upgrades.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
- SQL or data querying experience.
- Experience supporting ERP integrations and EDI.
- Manufacturing industry experience (automotive, aerospace, industrial, or similar).
