Data Scientist - Clinical Research (remote U.S. opportunity)
Who You Are
A data-savvy professional enthusiastic about turning complex biomedical datasets into insights. This role is primarily focused on data analysis to support internal and external research teams. Strong skills in Python/R, statistics, and clinical or biomedical research are essential. Experience with neurodegenerative diseases, familiarity with regulatory frameworks (21 CFR Part 11), contributing to peer-reviewed publications, and cloud computing platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) are a plus.

In this multidisciplinary role, you will manage, curate, and interpret data from the Parkinson Progression Markers Initiative, including biomarkers, neuroimaging, and omics data. Enable internal and external collaborators to use IND datasets effectively, providing insights, visualizations, and structured data to support studies, publications, and grant applications.
You’re a Great Fit If You Have
• MSc or PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biostatistics, Data Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience working in clinical or biomedical research settings.
• Strong proficiency in Python and/or R for statistical analysis and visualization.
• Experience with databases (Postgres, mySQL, REDCap), data wrangling, and business intelligence tools (Looker, Tableau).
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Effective communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
What will Help You Succeed:
• Prior experience with neurodegenerative diseases, especially Parkinson’s disease.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks for clinical data (e.g., 21 CFR Part 11 compliance).
• In-depth experience on the publication process.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Prior experience with AI assisted development and analysis techniques.
