Our Control Plane horizontal team is on the lookout for a passionate Software Development Manager to help orchestrate and configure our hosting products, including Managed WooCommerce Stores, Managed WordPress, Pagely, Airo Builder, and more. This team of 24 engineers and 2 managers is currently focused on building a revolutionary multi-tenant WordPress hosting platform!

What you'll get to do...

• Lead and mentor a team of up to eight software engineers, encouraging continuous learning, growth, and high performance
• Own and drive engineering perfection, ensuring strong code quality, scalability, reliability, and testability
• Translate complex business needs into simple, scalable, and maintainable technical solutions
• Partner closely with a distributed, cross-functional team to deliver against shared business goals
• Leverage data and insights to improve product performance and elevate the customer experience

Your experience should include...

• 2+ years of experience managing, mentoring, and developing engineering teams
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in software development
• Strong expertise across both front-end and back-end technologies, with experience leading engineers across varied abilities
• Experience automating development and operational workflows, from build pipelines to monitoring and supervision
• Solid understanding and practical application of agile development practices

You might also have...

• Solid understanding of AWS and cloud-based services
• Experience crafting and building highly scalable systems
• Hands-on experience with containerized architectures
• Familiarity with secure coding standards and software security guidelines
